In isiXhosa, the word umncindo describes the pull of dipping bread into a rich sauce — the pleasure of the mere thought of it. It's the closest word Chef Andile has found for what he's chasing in the kitchen: food that reaches past the plate.
Eziko's kitchen is built on this idea — Afrocentric cooking that treats heritage as technique, not decoration, sourced directly from local growers and home cooks across South Africa.
